Student Achievement Metrics
Central Carolina Community College's 2020-2024 Strategic Plan declares the institution's primary goal is to provide Equitable Pathways to Achievable Dreams. Central Carolina Community College is dedicated to helping our students achieve success and uses multiple measures of student achievement to review success including:
- Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Outcome Measure (chosen graduation metric)
- North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Performance Measures
- Central Carolina Community College retentions rates
Results of each of these metrics, including thresholds of acceptability and institutional goal, are available below. For questions regarding the data and metrics, please contact the Institutional Research department.
IPEDS Outcome Measure – Eight-Year Graduation Rate (chosen graduation metric)
The IPEDS Outcome Measure looks at the award rate after eight years of entry to the college. This measure includes first-time full-time and part-time students as well as students who entered the college as non-first-time (transfer) students. This measure provides a more comprehensive look at student success at a community college than more traditional graduation rate measures.
Threshold of Acceptability - 推荐正规买球平台 has defined our minimum threshold to be one standard deviation above below the national average for public, 2-year colleges (2009 cohort).
Goal - 推荐正规买球平台 has defined its goal to be one standard deviation above the national average for public, 2-year colleges (2009 cohort).

North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Performance Measures
The NCCCS tracks seven measures of performance amongst all 58 NC community colleges. These seven measures include: Basic Skills Progress, Success in Credit English, Success in Credit Math, First Year Progression, Curriculum Completion, Licensure Pass Rate Index, and Transfer Performance.
Threshold of Acceptability - 推荐正规买球平台 uses the identified baseline for each measure to use as the minimum threshold of acceptability. The baseline levels are set two standard deviations below the system mean.
Goal - 推荐正规买球平台 uses the identified excellence level for each measure as the goal. The excellence levels are set one standard deviation above the system mean.

Central Carolina Community College Retention Rates
Central Carolina Community College tracks retention rates for fall to fall retention, fall to spring, spring to spring and spring to fall. This allows us to continually review and proactively reach students to ensure continued progress toward their goals.
Threshold of Acceptability - 推荐正规买球平台 uses the NCCS Performance Measure 4 to identify our threshold. The threshold is one standard deviation below the average for fall to fall retention as defined by NCCS.
Goal - 推荐正规买球平台 uses the NCCCS Performance Measure 4 to define our goal. The goal is one standard deviation above the average for fall to fall retention as defined by the NCCCS.
Improvement Plans
Each measure is reviewed, at minimum, annually and discussed amongst leadership. For any measures that fall below the identified minimum threshold, an improvement plan is created for improvement and continually tracked.
